#336. Melted maze

Melted maze

Blow torch treatment again…this keeps the ball away from the middle. Ball = me, middle = goal…. An endless metaphor?

#269. Untitled….

One of those apple trays cut in half….

#262. Cd burn

Poor joke and I should stay away from the blow torch, getting to like melting things…although I like the triangle it’s made.

#257. 9 x 9

9 times #114 but this time they are welded. 81 cans meet but don’t join.

#256. Fountins

Been playing with this idea for too long for project Junkstop and now nearly complete… it will join two more sets to complete the sculpture and go outside for the two week New Mills Festival.  It started out as a tree but then I thought of the pun on fountain and I think it’s more fitting. 63 cans in this one.

#249. Tin lid magnets

Tuna can lid with stickers make nice promo fridge magnets for the local project I’m working on. These will end up on lamp posts and hopefully will be taken home.

#245. Burn pills

Full of some meaning? at least double… but was surprised at the stand out shapes. Melted nicotine lozenges with solder iron.

#242. Rose tin

A Roses tin lid as a rose… the definition of contrived! sorry..

#241. Corn drain

Another lazy one…as, if you know my work this is similar to a tuna can transformation. This though would function quite nicely as a pen/pencil holder… I normally ignore the sweet corn can, but it is underrated.

#235. Can curl

A tin can flattened and curled…Have you noticed that tin cans are my fall back position?

#228. Solar yogurt

So this is me trying to resolve my experiments… My yogurt pot hanging basket has doubled into a sphere recently and today I added solar powered fairy lights. This might go into the town for the festival with Junkstop.

#227. Rose tinted

So this is a return of #114 as it was originally taped, I wanted a nice way of fixing it together to make more for a sculpture. So I thought I would get them welded but needed a jig, after much huffing & puffing I discovered they fit very nicely into a Roses sweet tin which seems like a pleasing solution..

#223. Pom pom video

Hmmmm…. a pom pom made from video tape… honestly it looks better in real life, sort of.

#221. Bottle can..

Not more cans… two cans and two bottles used to make this hybrid…armoured bottle?

#220. Can handles

Hi Mum, here are your old handles on a can.

#219. Bottle guts

Found a nice battered bottle on beach today but look at it’s guts?

#216. Credit cut

Slightly creative credit card cutting…but still in one piece.

#215. Mix CD

Actually it’s a DVD cut and bent.. nice reflection of colour though..

#214. Can stand

My cut cans stacked up – architectural? A new olympic venue for bungee jumping?

#213. Solar garden light…

I think these will sell like …..

#212. Wire ball

Some of my old wire cables wound together… it might grow.

#210. Yog-olympics

This was the culmination of many years work… oh, I mean the london olympics, come on team GB!

I know the colours are not right but blame Tesco yogurts not me.

#207. Video tape can

#206 wrapped around a can… Never unwound a video tape.. it’s quite long.

#206. Digital analogue

So it’s been awhile since I really liked one, so here it is video tape on DVDs…

#205. Yogurt spray

Seems like everything comes as a spray now…especially if you fake it.

#200. Lids round

11 tin can lids connected in the round…. I love circles me…I like how this falls flat.

#199. Yogurt hamster wheel

I have come full circle… recycling my own ideas now!

#185. Yogurt donut

#182. Yogurt melt

I like this one…. carefully melted yogurt pot.

#169. Fruit shoot dude

A weird one – a fruit shoot bottle  + door stop + stickers.

#163. Adult pacifier

I might find this useful…

#151. Pepsi light….

Sorry that was an unforgivable pun…. another reuse of an idea from Pepsi pear from the other day.

#150. Yogurt stat wheel

150 and it’s a mash up with #113 yogurt wheel with #111 Yogurt stats.

#148. Pepsi pear.

Pear packaging? Top cut off can with tin can opener – which i’ve never done and i’d recommend it, I used a traditional opener so you can clean it easily…. and now you can put other stuff in like a pear obviously…

#145. Foiled and crumpled..

Hmmmm, desperate silliness….stacked crumpled foil dishes… before and after.

#138. Worry au lait

French milk bottle with stickers… i like them as worry lines as it suits me.

#137. inside issue

So finally smashed the bottle from the other day and released the tissue I’d stuffed inside.
A weird kind of rubbish cast.

#136. Squid yogurt

Kind of Disney inspired as I bought these sticky eyes there today… with drinking straws and yogurt pot – makes a squid or jelly fish.

#135. Beer issue

Beer bottle with most of a toilet roll squeezed inside… some late night experiments and it ended with this!… might smash the bottle for tomorrows.. title came from miss spelling when saving image…

#134. Strawberry basket

Leffe bier cork thingy used as strawberry protection in transit…
more French holiday ones to follow…

#125. Ball and socket

A lazy one but I kinda like it… a crown silver light bulb in a can, might be a ball and socket joint?

#121. Can belt.

A big jubilee clip crushing a can, I like how you can’t see the destruction until it’s turned round.

#114. Tin can meet.

I’m weirdly quite proud of this one, despite being made with Sellotape… Round becomes flat becomes round…

#113. Yogurt colour wheel…

Made with the brilliant Makedo reusable system for Earthday!

#111. Yogurt stats

This combines my two recent passions yogurt pots and my site stats…sad I know.

#109. Yogurt light

Another little light… I like the use of the big clip to help it stand up.

#106. Pie lamp..

I kinda like this… daft little delicate lamps.. could be a theme? Used a pen case for stand.

#85. Halogen horn

er… more mockery.

Horn part and an old halogen bulb

#68 High five can

\\

Five cans squashed to make height of normal can…

#61. Spray ray guns

Choose your weapon… remember to set to stun… I’ve had a collection of these spray tops for a few years, finally found some use for them.
